Choosing a financial planning professional should be a thought-based process. We often wonder how many decisions about financial planners are made at a one hour seminar held at a banquet hall, because the planners’ presentation “sounds good”. At CFPI, we recognize that choosing a financial planner is an intensive process, as it should be a relationship that both sides keep for many years.
As we accept a limited number of clients each year, we ask that each prospective client attend an initial, complimentary meeting with us. This allows us to learn more about you and for you to learn more about our firm, planners and services. We will explain our planning process, learn more about your particular needs and situation and determine if forming a client/planner relationship is in everyone’s best interest. If it is determined that it is not in everyone’s best interest, we are pleased to make referrals to local planners that may be a better fit.
The CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Board of Standards has several helpful articles on their website about choosing a planner, and choosing a CFP® Professional. We encourage you to visit their website, www.cfp.netand learn more.
We follow the guidelines of the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Board of Standards planning process for each one of our Advisory Clients. We are steadfast in maintaining our independence, which we feel puts us on the same side of the table as you, and allows us to help you make objective, unbiased decisions about your financial future.
